US Oil Strategy - Policy Remains Unchanged, Oil Prices Stay Strong

Fundamental Analysis
This morning brought the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, with an expected rate cut of 25 basis points. The accompanying policy statement highlighted improving employment data, a slight easing in economic challenges, and noted that President Trump's appointment will not affect short-term policy decisions. Consequently, the market has both eased its pessimism regarding the economic outlook and looks favorably upon the Fed’s continued accommodative policy, which may support economic stabilization and increase oil demand, pushing oil prices upward. Additionally, hurricanes have reduced US oil production, causing a decrease in supply. With demand stabilizing, this could further drive oil prices up.

Technical Analysis
On the hourly chart for US oil, a recent drop challenged previous lows but failed to break them decisively. Subsequently, prices moved upward, setting a new recent high, indicating a bullish bias. If the support holds during any further pullback, the uptrend is likely to continue. Therefore, a light long position is recommended at the support level of 71.30, with a target of 72.70 and a stop loss at 70.30.

Trading Recommendation:
Enter a light long position at 71.30 support, with a target of 72.70 and a stop loss at 70.30.

Support: 71.30; Resistance: 72.70.
